
There is no need to travel far and wide just to have the perfect cozy getaway. There are so many sweet spots to spend a fall weekend with your favorite person, or your besties within hours (some even minutes) of Buffalo. We’ve created a list of some awesome spots to enjoy friends, family, food and drink, vibes and views. Here’s a list of places that you need to check out this Fall.

1. Firelight Camps

We know camping isn’t for everyone, but we are fully convinced that these trendy luxury tents will make anyone a diehard camping fan. These tents are designed with hardwood floors, a king sized or queen sized beds, a private tented porch with rocking chairs, battery-powered lanterns, and even a desk with chairs. The tent is totally cozy and 100% Instagram-worthy.

2. The Cabins @ Becker Farms

The Cabins at Becker Farms consist of 10 eco-friendly cabins nestled in between the vineyard and the orchards. Lodging is open to 10 families or couples at a time for a chance to unplug and enjoy the countryside – complete with private hosts and activities for guests to enjoy social distancing when out and about.
At Becker Farms, once guests have made a reservation, a “host” will be in contact to create a customized itinerary of sequestered activities from a private barrel tasting with the vintner, to feeding the animals with the owner, or gathering around a bonfire for story time with smores. Also, these cabins are pet friendly!

3. The Tamarack – Ellicottville

Is there ever a bad time to plan a trip down to Ellicottville? (The answer is no, there is not!) Whether you like to ski, or snowboard, or you just like to try new foods, and sip on some craft beverages, or enjoy the beautiful changing leaves, you can’t go wrong with a trip to the Southern Tier’s most adorable village.
One of our one of our favorite spots to stay is the Tamarack Club Slopeside Hotel @ Holiday Valley Resort. This resort creates the coziest getaway with it’s majestic view of the slopes. The resort includes heated indoor/outdoor pools, 2 outdoor hot tubs, and an indoor dry sauna. Additionally, they have their very own Ellicottville Oasis Full Service Spa on site, and so much more! This location is also close to Ellicottville’s main strip filled with shops and restaurants such as Ellicottville Brewing Company, Dina’s and West Rose.

4. Vineyard Villas – Seneca Lake

Wine, cheese, and the great outdoors, what could possibly be better? If you haven’t been wine tasting in the Seneca Lake area, you need to asap! We even found these totally cozy villas for you to stay at too. Located in the heart of the Finger Lakes, each villa has a deck and balcony with a complete view of the lake. Each place houses 2 people comfortably, and makes for the perfect, cozy getaway. If you’re going for a larger outing, multiple villas can be rented too! You can literally eat, drink, and breathe wine.

5. Belhurst Castle – Seneca Lake

If you want something with a little history behind it, we highly suggest checking out Belhurst Castle. This historic castle is a wine hotel that offers lodging, dining, a spa, salon, and of course, a winery! Belhurst was mentioned as one of the ‘World’s Best Wine Hotels’, earning the number three spot in USA Today’s Top 10 Wine Country Hotels. Furthermore, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Properties, and voted as one of the Most Romantic Places in New York State. Sign us up!
