About Nathan Mroz

The BFLO Store CEO Nathan Mroz’s list of accomplishments is impressive: He’s a Buffalo State College alumni who was recently awarded The Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2020, one of The Buffalo Business First’s 30 Under 30 2021 winners, and was also named Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2020 by The Clarence Chamber of Commerce.

But Mroz’s success dates all the way back to his high school days, when he launched a photography business called Buffalo Scenic Prints in 2007.

After years of selling his award-winning photography, he opened a stand-alone kiosk in the Eastern Hills Mall, which led to his eventual expansion to The BFLO Store, a brick-and-mortar enterprise, in 2015.

The Growth of The BFLO Store

Since then, The BFLO Store has grown to become the largest locally themed retailer in Western New York, specializing in designer apparel, home décor, gifts, and more.

And in case you haven’t been to the Eastern Hills Mall lately, in 2019, Mroz was able to take over the entire former SEARS building, investing $2 million into revitalizing The Eastern Hills Mall, and transforming what was once empty space into what is now The BFLO District.

Today, Mroz continues to be committed to Western New York and to promoting the beauty and uniqueness of Buffalo Niagara through his photography, artistry, and vision.

In 2021, he also opened The BFLO Event Center, which hosts weddings, corporate functions and other special events.
